The “Komfort” I originally planned for

Originally, I intended to go to this café before accidentally ending up in Comfort. Despite the cold winter, the café felt very warm, with rays of light making it feel like the middle of summer.

This is the coziest space I’ve visited in the past few weeks, and it was nice to sit among strangers, each minding our own business.

The prime spot in this café is a round table in the corner that overlooks the city — seating about eight people. It’s hard to explain, but the seating arrangement invites strangers to sit without questioning whether the seats are taken.

I think it's likely that both the table's size and the massive plant—placed to obstruct views from across it—contribute to this effect.

I’ve been obsessed with Chamomile tea (as you may have noticed from my last posts). I sat next to the window looking inward.

This café exudes warmth and sociability, contrasting sharply with the cool, industrial ambiance of 'Comfort' café, which didn't quite live up to its name.

Komfortabel has it’s own impressive rooftop — large pieces of brick for multiple people to sit on.

You’ll really enjoy the walk into the café’s parking lot. Embedded in the cliff that separates Duteopbawi-gil and Sowol-gil is a modern Romanesque façade featuring a Buddha seated under an archway.

There are many ways to get here—it's literally surrounded by stations—but I’d highly recommend getting off at Noksapyeong Station to admire the art and architecture (including its beautiful dome) before walking to the café.
